KIRK – Kirkland’s, Inc. was a “z Stock” on 3/23/09 at $3.73. All one had to do was hold it in your portfolio these past 8 months and get a +421% gain. It’s a RTHF (Retail Home Furnishings) stock. Kirkland’s Inc. is a specialty retailer of Home Decor in the USA. I have never been to one as they don’t operate here in Washington State.

Like many “z Stocks” their price appreciation tends to move higher through several quarters after they first hit the “z Stock Screen”. Oh, and it looks to be breaking out again, though I’d keep a short leash on it in this current economic environment. This quarter KIRK is a “v Stock (Value)”.
